Should I Send Alienware 13r3 To Repairs Center Reddit

Thought I'd share my horrible experience yesterday with Dell Service Tech. To start, I've had my 13R3 since May 1027. It's been a bang-up laptop and I love it. Immediately after purchasing it, I upgraded the ram to 32GB, the SSDd to dual 1TB and the wireless bill of fare to an Intel 8260. All of which was washed within weeks of purchasing.

Fast forward to xviii months later. I detect the WiFi signal has been extremely low. Could exist within 10ft of the Access Points and it would;d still be low. Tried to reinstall drivers to run into if that could be the trouble as MS loves to break things. Withal weak. Pull off the back encompass and the guard to the Wireless Antennae cables and notice the blackness cablevision has the wire pulling out of the prune. So I chat with Tech support, send them pics and they acceleration a Service Tech to resolve the trouble.

This is where is gets interesting. I take him come to my identify of concern and work in my part. In lodge to supervene upon the cleaved cable, he has to replaced the entire screen. Which I idea was interesting, only OK. Almost 4 hours pass and he washed, goes to turn it on to test, and information technology doesn't work. He doesn't understand why and tell me that he'll now need to send it to "the depot" for repairs and it'll take 7-ten concern days. I was completely livid! My laptop was in working order and we could apply information technology connected to the LAN to perform my job. Now, I take to send in my laptop do to the incompetence of this service tech. Non only is the laptop non powering on anymore, he didn't install the screen correctly, he scratched the laptop in two places past what looks like a screwdriver and broke the screw/nut that holds ane of the SSD drives in place. I tried to call and mutter to management, just all they could do is tell me that I still have to send in the laptop and that they'll repair and transport it dorsum as soon equally possible. I asked for a replacement sent, but they declined. So now I have to get Best Buy today to find a comparable laptop in stock in order exercise my task. So non but do I have to waste product my time past going to the nearest store, I have to spend money out of my pocket just to have something. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Here are some lovely pics of the initial wireless cable problem, and the state of the laptop the tech left information technology in.
